The sun shone in Paikuse for the first day of the Airoh Round #3 of the 2023 Borilli Enduro European Championship. On time at 10 a.m. the Youth class’ Riders officially kicked off the first day of the race, consisting of 3 laps with a length of 64 km and 3 special tests. The first to be faced was the Airoh Cross Test, followed by the Eleveit Enduro Test and finally the 24MX Extreme Test. If the Eleveit Enduro Test and the 24MX Extreme Test shared a sandy solid, the Airoh Cross Test took place inside a fast turf lawn.

With the Start of the first rider, the fight for the Overall first position began; Eemil Pohjola read perfectly all the test and took the lead with a fair margin. Alex Walton skilfully defended himself from the attacks of Diego Haution and Lucas Bergstrom, intent on taking his second position. At the end of the ninth special test the Overall silver was still in the hands of Alex Walton while Diego Haution grabbed the bronze and pushed Bergstrom off the podium.

The 2023 Borilli Enduro European Championship curtain rises! In Estonia, more specifically in the city of Paikuse, Airoh Round 3# is kicking off, and it will be the third round out of the fourth scheduled for this continental season. Two exciting days of competition under the flag of the prestigious Italian brand Airoh are waiting for us. As in previous events there will be three special tests: the Airoh Cross Test, the Eleveit Enduro Test and the 24MX Extreme Test. The Airoh Cross Test takes place within a beautiful field and will open the dances of the day thanks to its 5 km. The Eleveit Enduro Test is structured mainly within a forest with the usual sandy and root-rich ground; 8.5 km is the length of this test, so riders will need to manage your energies for the entire test. The 24MX Extreme Test completes the third of the tests present within the 64 km transfer

Max Schwarte en Ties Bennink beide op Sherco Holland factory machines in de EY en junior 1.
Ook Mike Bokslag op zijn Brouwer GasGas gaat hier van start evenals Tommie Jochems op de WPM KTM.
Mooie ervaring voor deze heren en goed voor de ontwikkeling van hun enduro sportcarrière.

Vilde Holt van het WPM KTM Team heeft beide dagen van het Europees Kampioenschap Enduro Dames in Portugal weten te winnen. Het was een hele zware wedstrijd omdat de omstandigheden snel waren met moeilijke proeven. Vilde voelde zich op beide dagen erg goed op de motor en ook de afstelling stond helemaal perfect.

Het gevecht om de eindzege duurde tot aan het einde want Vilde had een mooi duel met een Duitse dame. Vilde wist het hoofd koel te houden en slaagde erin om geen fouten te maken. Deze zege bewijst wel dat haar trainingen die ze de laatste twee winters in Portugal heeft gedaan, haar vruchten af beginnen te werpen.

Vilde wist beide dagen winnend af te sluiten en staat nu aan de leiding in de tussenstand van het Europees Kampioenschap! De volgende wedstrijd wordt verreden in Estland. Dit is een zandwedstrijd waar Vilde zich erg in thuis voelt.
