Voor 2012 is er weer een actieve (en nieuwe) website waar je alles over het Europees kampioenschap kunt vinden. De site wordt gepresenteerd door promotor Wolfgang Butzner van Metzeler Racing Service. Na de WK wedstrijd in Spanje, reisde het team op maandag af naar Torres Vedras in Portugal. Daar aangekomen was het mooi en warm weer met een temperatuur van 30 graden en Hans begon met de proeven te verkennen.  Er was een route van 55 km uitgezet met daarin 3 proeven, en deze route moest men 4 keer rijden. De cross en de enduro proef lagen op een gras land tegen dezelfde berghelling. De organisatie had deze proeven geschoven zodat het gras eraf was, maar door het warme weer en de stralende zon werden deze proeven beton hard tegen het einde van de week. .. lees meer ..

Husaberg’s Pela Renet has strengthened his lead in the Enduro 2 World Championship standings following what was a highly successful GP of Portugal for both the Frenchman and the Husaberg Factory Team. With conditions in Torres Vedras more similar to those at the season opening GPs of Chile and Argentina than the recent GP of Euskadi, Renet finished as runner-up behind countryman Johnny Aubert on day one before securing victory and placing as the outright fastest rider in the event on day two. .. lees meer ..

Thursday and Friday is always track walk time for the rider’s of the Enduro World Championship. Leaving the wet unsettled weather of northern Spain behind, the series has made its way to sunny southern Portugal and Torres Vedras, near Lisbon. The grassy fields of Munitibar appear to be a thing of the past and at this, the fourth round of the championship, riders will face a challenging extreme test and almost an identical cross and enduro test.
