2017 FIM ISDE France: Day One – France take the lead as USA hit trouble

fim-isde-day1Day one of the ninety-second running of the FIM International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) in Brive, France saw defending FIM World Trophy team champions the USA run into troubles almost as soon as the event started. Crashing on the opening special test Thad Duvall – Husqvarna badly injured his left wrist, forcing him to retire soon afterwards.

In stark contrast to the disappointing fortunes faced by team USA, France’s FIM World Trophy squad enjoyed a successful opening day, claiming the win despite Loic Larrieu – Yamaha picking up a one-minute time penalty at the end of the day. Sweden topped the FIM Junior World Trophy class ahead of Italy and France with less than one-minute covering the top four teams. Spain head the FIM Women’s World Trophy team category.

Pittig BK enduro te Lierneux

Een natte en gladde boel in Lierneux vandaag. En volgens Bram Gonlag: “Lierneux was een grote klei en boetseer wedstrijd. Volgens mij had Tim”Kruiper de koppeling eruit. Maurits en Alex en Jan Willem hebben netjes uitgereden bij de inters. Van start tot finish regen 😄 .. op een super mooie route.

EnduroGP Paddock News The Italian Show!

daan_spoletoThe Grand Prix of Italy always has a festival atmosphere, organized with a single passion: ENDURO. And the latest Italian GP, held in Spoleto last weekend, did not deviate from the rule. We look back at the news from the 3rd round of the 2017 Maxxis FIM EnduroGP Championship…

The Bike Festival
Together with Spoleto town the event organisers, Moto Club Spoleto, successfully put everything together to ensure this Italian GP celebrated ‘real Enduro’, as well as motorcycle sport in general. Throughout the weekend firework displays, entertainment, and stunt shows were put on to the delight of nearly 15,000 spectators. On Friday and Saturday night, fans of FMX were able to marvel at a great show inside the Stadio Communale featuring some of Italy’s top Freestyle riders.

KNMV verontrust over Brabantse strijd tegen wildcrossers

Bron: KNMV. Verontrust hebben wij kennis genomen van de nieuwe methode die de politie in Brabant gisteren presenteerde in hun strijd tegen wildcrossers. Met touwen en netten die tussen bomen worden gespannen willen de Brabantse handhavers de wildcrossers tot stoppen dwingen. Een in onze ogen absurd en levensgevaarlijk idee.

Wildcrossen wordt in Brabant gezien als groot probleem. Daarom hebben Staatsbosbeheer, Samen Sterk in Brabant (SSiB) en de provincie Brabant het ‘Groene Convenant’ opgesteld waarin deze nieuwe aanpak ook beschreven staat.

Thierry en Wesley Pittens houden zich staande op eerste dag van het EK Enduro in Portugal

pittensracingHet Europees Kampioenschap Enduro ging vandaag van start in Portugal. Thierry en Wesley Pittens hebben zich op de eerste dag goed staande weten te houden en zijn op een tiende en elfde plaats geeindigd in de E2 klasse.
De eerste dag was zwaar met veel stof en regen. Op de route was het erg afzien door het vele trialwerk en in de proeven was het belangrijk om bekeken en strak te rijden zodat er op de rotsen en stenen zo min mogelijk fouten werden gemaakt. In het begin van de dag moesten zowel Thierry als Wesley wennen aan het stof en de stenen combinaties.
