FIM Europe Enduro-Championship: 2nd day in Goueiva / Portugal

After heavy rain the conditions of the first Round of the European Enduro-Championship in Gouveia / Portugal changes over night. But the track switched into a good shape on Sunday, April 30th.

Without the dust and without the juniors advantage to find a smooth, not used track in the first lap, the Italian Oscar Balletti from the senior E3-class took the overall win in front of the reigning champion of the senior E3 class, his countryman Maurizio Micheluz.

Thierry en Wesley Pittens houden zich staande op eerste dag van het EK Enduro in Portugal

pittensracingHet Europees Kampioenschap Enduro ging vandaag van start in Portugal. Thierry en Wesley Pittens hebben zich op de eerste dag goed staande weten te houden en zijn op een tiende en elfde plaats geeindigd in de E2 klasse.
De eerste dag was zwaar met veel stof en regen. Op de route was het erg afzien door het vele trialwerk en in de proeven was het belangrijk om bekeken en strak te rijden zodat er op de rotsen en stenen zo min mogelijk fouten werden gemaakt. In het begin van de dag moesten zowel Thierry als Wesley wennen aan het stof en de stenen combinaties.

FIM Europe Enduro-Championship: 1st day in Goueiva / Portugal

Espinasse_Theophile_F_Sherco_[overall]On 29th of April 2017 the European Enduro-Championship starts in Gouveia / Portugal in the new season.
On the demanding track, between rocks and stones an a lot of dust, the french junior-rider Theophile Espinasse took the first victory on the first day. The Sherco-rider won all the first five tests and coul go save on the last one – still finishing 25.6 seconds in front of the Italien Oscar Balletti.
This one had the benefit from the technical problems of Anthony Geslin – the French was second until he was one minute late at the timecheck, after his mechanics could not solve the problem in time. This for the Beta-rider drops down to 14th position.

Verslag 3 uurs cross country Rilland

Volledige uitslag. VIDEO. Onder werkelijk perfecte omstandigheden organiseerde de MEVZ afgelopen zaterdag voor de 3e keer een 3 uurs cross country in Rilland, waar in de ochtend voor de 2e keer een ONK jeugdenduro plaats vond. Met 77 inschrijvingen bij de solo’s, 91 bij de teams en 40 bij de jeugdenduro was de opkomst enorm goed te noemen. De deelnemers kregen een route van ongeveer 14 km per ronde voor de kiezen die behoorlijk pittig was, veel technische stukken in het bos en op de 4×4 baan, wat X-treme elementen op de crossbaan, de crossbaan zelf en een mooi lang recht stuk van 800 meter (2x), waar je even een soort van op adem kon komen.
