EnduroGP Germany – Day 2 Report
REMES Titled, SALVINI Devastated!
This last day of racing in 2018 offered EnduroGP fans and spectators a lot of “drama” and an intense fight in Enduro 2 where Eero REMES (SF – TM) was shockingly crowned 2018 World Champion to the detriment of Alex SALVINI (I – Husqvarna).
However, SALVINI had been well on his way to claiming the World Crown… despite brilliant starts from Eero REMES and Loïc LARRIEU (F – Yamaha), the Jolly Enduro Team rider was riding cleverly and was on course for his title. He even overtook his main rival on the second lap and therefore could’ve gone straight to his second career title. But again, bad luck got involved during a liaison section, a branch intersected the cables of the fuel injection… after receiving help from many other riders including HOLCOMBE and FREEMAN, SALVINI managed to make some repairs but arrived at the time control 31 minutes late – he was disqualified and sadly saw his title dreams fly away!

HOLCOMBE On Top of the World!
As expected after the Grand Prix of France and this domination all season, this first day of the final round of 2018 saw Steve HOLCOMBE (GB – Beta) conquer both the E3 and EnduroGP titles, and Brad FREEMAN (GB – Beta Boano) win his first senior title, becoming the World E1 Champion. Let’s look back at this day full of emotion…
Steve HOLCOMBE only needed a handful of points to win his second consecutive title in EnduroGP… but instead of just doing what was necessary, he rode brilliantly, and the Factory Beta rider took his 5th win of the year after a good battle with Brad FREEMAN.
ONK 2018: Heftige enduro in Hellendoorn
UITSLAG. Scratch: Inters / Nationalen / Rookies Een lange, hete en stoffige dag met drie zeer gevarieerde proeven eiste zijn tol. Ook de route met nogal wat fesh-fesh was niet flauw. Vanwege de grote opkomst en de omstandigheden dacht men de tijden ruim gezet te hebben, maar dat viel voor menigeen nogal tegen. Vooral in de Dauwpop proef vlogen voor het “tweede pak” de tijden omhoog. Zwaar zat dus: bij de nationalen kwam maar 50% aan de finish. Man of motor versleten of allebei!

Super B ONK Enduro Kampioens Rit Vorden
De Vordense auto en motor club (VAMC) de Graafschaprijders organiseert op vrijdag 2 en zaterdag 3 november de 81e Open Nederlands Kampioenschap Rit voor enduro motoren. Zonder de medewerking van grondeigenaren, vrijwilligers, sponsoren, EHBO en overheidsinstellingen zoals gemeente, provincie, Gelderslandschap, waterschap ect. is het heden ten dage niet meer mogelijk om dit evenement te organiseren. De VAMC is dan ook dankbaar voor alle steun die ze krijgen van wie dan ook. Het is voor de 55e maal dat de motorclub uit Vorden de Oost Gelderland Rit organiseert. In 2008 werd er samen met de HAMOVE uit Hengelo en de ZAMC te Zelhem nog een Europees kampioenschap Enduro georganiseerd.
