Wels, Austria – 4 September 2018 — A bumper entry of 1000 competitors are headed to Poland’s Red Bull 111 Megawatt this coming weekend, September 8/9, for round five of the World Enduro Super Series. At the head of the standings, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Jonny Walker (GB) aims to keep his lead intact over Germany’s Manuel Lettenbichler (KTM) and Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Billy Bolt (GB).

With the summer break complete, the World Enduro Super Series readies itself for the second half of the championship.

The Acerbis Grand Prix of Italy kept everyone on their toes. Three special tests perfectly laid out by the Moto Club Sebino, combined with rainy weather from Friday onwards, gave this 6th round of the season a lot of plot twists…and a new leader in EnduroGP.

Indeed, the leader since the GP of Portugal, Alex SALVINI (I – Husqvarna), was forced to retire on Saturday and could only watch on as last year’s EnduroGP World Champion Steve HOLCOMBE (GB – Beta) seized the Leader Plate in the class. The Brit is now 16 points ahead of SALVINI. With two strong second places during the weekend, Brad FREEMAN (GB – Beta Boano) slots into third spot in the category, but he will have to work to stop Eero REMES (SF – TM) from taking his place.

Elk jaar organiseert Enduroclub Lingen een 2uurs endurocross. Deze race is inmiddels zo populair dat je al vooraf moet inschrijven en doen er max 150 man mee. Reden vroeger de solo en team klasse door elkaar heen, tegenwoordig is er vanwege de grote animo ’s morgens al een aparte wedstrijd voor solo’s en mogen ’s middags de duo-teams aan de bak. Op een aantal hectares akkerbouwland wordt een crossparcours uitgezet en ook nemen ze een alternatieve snellere route met wat obstakels op bij start/finish om de “kerels” van de “pussy’s” te scheiden en tevens het publiek wat extra vermaak te bieden, want wanneer sommige pussy’s toch maar eens de kerels route willen proberen, levert dat soms vreemde capriolen en koprollen op…
