Lucas-Dolfing EK DuitslandLucas Dolfing uit Borger nam afgelopen weekend deel aan de derde wedstrijd om het Europees kampioenschap welke werd verreden bij het Duitse plaatsje Burg. Hij verdedigde daar zijn zevende plaats in de tussenstand. Het werd een pittige wedstrijd met drie ronden van 74 km over een zware route met talloze knippen en gaten op de bospaden. Ook was het tijdschema erg krap. De rijders hadden weinig tijd om te tanken en te eten bij de serviceposten. Twee lange enduroproeven en één crossproef leverden per dag één uur en 20 minuten proeftijd op, waarin steeds zo hard mogelijk gereden wordt. Op dag één scoorde Dolfing een goede 7e plaats.

FIM EUROPE ENDURO CHAMPIONSHIP – 3rd round in Germany – Junior takes the pole

After the third round of the European-Enduro-Championship which took place in Burg / Germany (close to Magdeburg) there is a new leader: The only 19 years old Matteo Pavoni from Italy took the pole in the overall-championship after another total win at the second day.
It wasn’t a perfect day for the KTM-rider, because a crash in the endurotest took him some seconds. But in the end he won in this strange and sandy conditions. Sand seems to be a lucky thing for Pavoni, who made his title in the „under 20 class“ on the sandy ground of the euopean final 2016 in the Netherlands. This year climbing up into the Junior-E1-Class, from the 125 cc 2-stroke bike to the 250 cc 4-stroke KTM, he won both days the overall in Germany and took the pole in the Championship.

EK enduro Duitsland: ups en downs voor Oranje
Thierry-Pittens_Ek-BurgOok in de derde wedstrijd van het EK enduro behaalden de Nederlanders weer erg goede uitslagen. Thierry Pittens (E2) en Nina Klink werden allebei tweede na een zware wedstrijd. Daan Bruijsten (E1) sleepte er ondanks een knieblessure nog een derde plaats uit. Een dertig jaar oude route met gigantisch diepe knippen, veel wortels en veel zand zorgde samen met een krap tijdschema voor een weekend hard werken. Bij de mannen haalde 25% de eindstreep niet en bij de dames viel op de natte eerste dag zelfs 40% uit.
Twee enduroproeven en één crossproef per ronde en drie ronden van 74 kilometer leverden maar liefst één uur en twintig minuten proeftijd op voor de snelste rijders.

Scratch winnaar Junior_Matteo_Pavoni_Italy_KTM-1At the 5th of August 2017 the first day of the third round of European-Enduro-Championship took place in Burg / Germany (close to Magdeburg).
The over 74 km l0ng circuit was ridden three times in a row and included the three tests every round. At the end the junior-riders have had been the successfull riders in the overall result.

EC enduro Burg: real enduro, even without mountains

At the 5th and 6th of August 2017 the third round of the European-Enduro-Championship will take place in Burg / Germany (close to Magdeburg). As in Estonia, the last round, only one month before, the locality is plain, without mountains and uphills.
Nevertheless includes the more than 80 km long track 95% offroad and will be physically tiring for the riders.
The ground will be mostly sandy, in the woods very bumpy with a lot of roots. This will be a small home-advantage fort the german riders, which are used to all this conditions, while there is a round of German Championchip since 22 years. Even at this weekend, the competion is one of the German Championship.
