The 2014 Maxxis FIM Enduro World Championship heads to Brioude in France to close out what has already been a dramatic and action packed season to date. Despite two world titles already decided, the Grand Prix AMV of France has still a lot to offer. The battle for honours in the Enduro 3 class is still very much to play along with the titles in the Junior, FIM Youth Cup 125cc andWomen categories!

De finale van het EK enduro werd op 6 en 7 september gehouden in het Tsjechische stadje Uhlířské Janovice. Twaalf Nederlanders gingen de strijd aan op exact dezelfde route als in 2013. Die route werd toen al heel slecht door regen op de laatste dag. Omdat het nu tot vrijdag regende, begon nog veel slechter. Lastige hellingen met erg diepe sporen, modderslootjes die niet te springen waren, moddergaten volop, ook in de proeven en supergladde stenensecties.
Met drie ronden van 60 km en bijna twee uur rijdtijd per ronde werd het dus een lange zware eerste dag. Van de 150 deelnemers kwamen er veertig niet aan de finish. Onder hen pechvogel Wesley Pittens die zijn radiateur kapot viel. Hij kon niet snel genoeg wisselen en liep schade aan het blok op. Voor rookie en eerste dame sinds lang, Nina Klink, was het gewoon te zwaar. Ze wist nu dat ze de marshalls die overal stonden bij de moddergaten, veel meer moest laten helpen.

EK Tsjechië 1st day of the final round in Uhlirske Janovice / CZ
The overall of the first day at the fourth and last round of the Enduro European Championship (EEC) in Uhlirske Janovice/CZ was won by the british rider Steve Holcombe with more than one minute lead. With this victory he won also his Juniors-Class E1 and crowned himself to the next european-champion in this class! He have had the advantage to go first into the special-test, which has been very slippery after the rain in the night. The riders become struggling more and more over the day.
