GP Maxxis Hungary Preview: Back to Hungary… 23 years later!

jamie.mccanney_EWC 2017 Rnd 2Almost one month after the third round of the 2017 Maxxis FIM EnduroGP World Championship in Spoleto, Italy, the EnduroGP series continues its journey to Parádfürdő, Hungary some 100 km from Budapest.

A young and enthusiastic organizer

“At first it was a dream, but everything became real.” These words expressed by Adam HADOBAS, President of the Mátra Extrem Kft and organizer of this Hungarian event, really reflect the club’s enthusiasm for hosting a round of the EnduroGP World Championship. Needing to go back 23 years to the last round of the series held in Hungary, in 1994 in Cserénfa, it was a historic event for this small country and a huge boost to the sport of enduro.

KTM´S ALFREDO GOMEZ WINS 2017 ERZBERGRODEO RED BULL HARE SCRAMBLE

Erzbergrodeo 2017_Alfredo GomezCarrying impressive form into the 23rd running of the Erzbergrodeo, Alfredo Gomez secured the biggest win of his career by reaching the finish of the Red Bull Hare Scramble ahead of Graham Jarvis and Cody Webb. Completing the grueling 25 check point course aboard his KTM 300 EXC in a time of 2 hours and 17 minutes, Gomez steadily worked his way forwards before being the first rider to tackle the hardest sections of the course on his way to a deserved victory.

Walker Finishes Fifth At ErzbergRodeo 2017

jonny.walker_erzbergrodeo 2017Jonny Walker has earned a fifth-place result at the 23rd running of the ErzbergRodeo Red Bull Hare Scramble. Setting a strong pace and leading during the majority of the first hour of the race, Jonny found his performance during the latter stages of the race hampered by a specific tyre choice, which frustratingly didn’t go the way he’d hoped. Nevertheless, battling hard all the way to the finish he placed just five minutes from the podium and as the third of three KTM Enduro Factory Racing team riders to finish inside the top five.

GRAHAM JARVIS PLACES SECOND AT ERZBERG 2017

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Graham Jarvis has finished as runner-up to Alfredo Gomez at the 23rd running of the ErzbergRodeo Hare Scramble. Just over three minutes behind eventual winner Gomez, Jarvis rode yet another highly impressive race around the Iron Giant. Once again overcoming a cautious start and having to work his way passed countless riders during the faster, dustier sections of the course, once into the more technical sections he worked his way towards the front but ultimately ran out of time to challenge for the win.

Snelle eerste Erzberg proloog voor Robin Holtmeulen

robin-holtmeulen-erzberg2000 deelnemers voor de proloog. 500 gaan er door voor de wedstrijd van zondag. Op vrijdag 1ste dag proloog gehad. Wat last van andere rijders en die waren moeilijk in te halen omdat de proloog niet moeilijk is en heel snel. Paar kleine foutjes en te laat met remmen. Redelijk gevoel en een 241ste plek. Alles zit heel dicht op elkaar. 20 plaatsen naar voren is ongeveer 1 a 2 seconden. Vandaag,zaterdag is nog een keer de proloog. Om 11 uur ga ik van start.
