Steve Holcombe has claimed another double podium result, this time at the EnduroGP of Portugal – round six of the FIM EnduroGP World Championship. In one of the toughest events of the season so far, Steve rode fast and consistently to finish third on day one before upping his game to claim the win on day two. With only two rounds of the 2017 series remaining Steve leads the premier EnduroGP class by a healthy 37 points.
On the first day, Steve rode like the champion he is.

Completely at home in the fast, dry and dusty Portuguese conditions Nathan dominated the first day of competition, winning seven of the nine special tests. Cautious around the technical, slow-speed extreme test, on the faster motocross and enduro tests he was untouchable.
Frustratingly for Watson his hopes of a double EnduroGP class win were ended when he damaged his gear shift lever in the extreme test on lap two of day two. Forced to replace the shifter inside the special test and with the clock ticking, Nathan lost more than four minutes. Despite bouncing back to win the very next enduro test he was not able to finish higher than 10th.

ROCKSTAR ENERGY HUSQVARNA FACTORY RACING’S ENDURO ROOKIE CLAIMS CAREER BEST RESULT ON DAY TWO IN PORTUGAL
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Christophe Charlier has finished less than four seconds from the top step of the EnduroGP class podium on day two of the GP of Portugal, round six of the FIM EnduroGP World Championship.

Delivering his best result of the championship to date, the Frenchman battled with EnduroGP championship leader Steve Holcombe throughout the day. Charlier’s Enduro 2 class teammate Pascal Rauchenecker also enjoyed a positive GP of Portugal finishing fifth on day one and fourth on day two.

Enjoying the most successful GP of his season so far, Outsiders Yamaha Official Enduro Team rider Jamie McCanney wrapped up round six of the 2017 FIM EnduroGP World Championship claiming two Enduro 2 class victories during a hot and dusty EnduroGP of Portugal.
In dominant form throughout the weekend, the Manxman battled through extremely hot and dusty conditions to top the Enduro 2 class podium on both days in Castelo Branco.
