Bacau for the Juniors at the first day
At the first day of the second round of the European Enduro Championship in Bacau, Romania, the Frenchman Hugo Blanjoue won on his KTM: At 23 years of age, he is still just a junior and is thus leading the Young Wilds in the overall standings:
With second place it was the Swede Erik Appelqvist and third place overall in the standings of the Czech Krystof Kouble, who all come from the junior class of the large-capacity E2/E3 motorcycles.

FIM Europe – Enduro-Championship – 2nd round in Bacau / Romania – Preview

Bacau the Second
This is not only the second round of the season in Bacau, Romania, this coming weekend, 19-20 May 2018, but also the second time that the European Enduro Championship will stop there.
Already in 2014 the riders were guests in the northeastern part of Romania and had found there a demanding and well prepared enduro competition by the lokal X-cape-organisation for these two days.

Bolt Wins World Enduro Super Series Opener In Lagares, Portugal

Lagares, Portugal – May 13, 2018 — Britain’s Billy Bolt has claimed victory at the opening round of the inaugural World Enduro Super Series – the Extreme XL Lagares in Portugal. Securing the top step of the podium the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing rider takes an early lead in this year’s search for the ULTIMATE ENDURO CHAMPION.
In what was a thrilling and at times unpredictable battle, Bolt was followed home by Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Jonny Walker (GB) in second with Germany’s Manuel Lettenbichler (KTM) completing the podium in third.

Robin Holtmeulen en Thierry Pittens klaar voor de Wess competitie

Wess staat voor World Enduro Super Series, het zijn wedstrijden onder extreme omstandigheden, door heel Europa.
Op 22 en 23 april hebben deze 2 heren al een wedstrijd meegereden in Tsjechië de Drapak Rodeo, dit was bedoeld als voorbereiding voor de 1e wedstrijd voor de Wess competitie. Ze wisten daar allebei al een goed resultaat neer te zetten, van de 450 rijders, werd Thierry 15e en Robin 27e, dus neem maar van mij aan dat ze al een aardig stukje Extreem kunnen rijden.
Zaterdag 5 mei zijn Robin en Thierry samen met Anthony Donders als ondersteuner, afgereisd naar Porto in Portugal een reis van 2200 km. In de dagen voorafgaand aan de wedstrijd hebben ze nog in de omgeving getraind met enkele lokale helden.

Go time for WESS: World Enduro Super Series starts in Portugal

Wels, Austria – May 8, 2018 — It’s all systems go as the inaugural World Enduro Super Series clicks into gear for round one at Extreme XL Lagares in Portugal, May 11-13, as the search for the ULTIMATE ENDURO CHAMPION begins.
With the wait finally over, history will be made in northern Portugal when the first ever round of the mixed-discipline WESS championship gets underway. Extreme XL Lagares — now in its 14th edition — has the honour of hosting the opening event of the series.

In total 252 competitors from 20 nations, including the world’s best Enduro riders, will take to the start line in the Penafiel region of Portugal for three days of exciting, and challenging, Enduro racing.
