De eerste heuvelklim is meteen scheidsrechter voor het klassement. Maar liefst 6 kemphanen gaan voor de overwinning en doen de hele week niet echt voor elkaar onder. Met 32 graden starten zonder te acclimatiseren is wennen. Via mooie zandpaden en grasvlaktes de grens over naar Roemenië. Prachtige route door de heuvels, op naar de special.
De heuvelklim die vorig jaar veel energie en moeite koste lag te wachten. Ja hier moet ie zijn, kijkend en zoekend en de navigatie (sporen) hier omhoog? Gas erop … dit klopt niet dikke afgrond !. Nee terug…. dan moet dit hem zijn pfff wel steil rotsen …. moet lukken; kut wel erg steil bijna achterover en nog een keer …. kut weer verkeerd…. en terug. Nou iets verder terug ( lees 10 m). Ja hoor dit is hem … lul let dan goed op tijdens de briefing .. na de beek direct rechts 😢. Nou ja … er was niemand voor mij (en droog) dus kon in 1 keer met twee vingers in de neus omhoog. Check controle .. en weer door.. tot aan TC 2.

FIM Europe: Enduro-Championship – Madona/Latvia 29/30 of June – Preview
Third round in Latvia
The European Enduro Championship will move to Latvia for the third round of the four competitions: the paddock and the administration will be located in the middle of Madona on the coming weekend of 29th and 30th of June 2019.
On Saturday and Sunday, the 100 riders from 14 nations will be sent out for the three laps from 8:00 a.m. onwards. There are around 180 km to be ridden daily and two different special stages to be completed in each lap. The Enduro test and the Crosstelst are not far apart, so that it will be easy for spectators and teams to follow the competition.

KNIGHT & REIS Finish the Job!
The Greece-Italy tour was a tough one! And even though the riders in the Champion Lubricants Enduro Open World Cup complete one lap fewer than the EnduroGP riders, they still suffered with the very technical tests and transfers, as well as from the scorching Greek heat and the Italian downpours. However, it didn’t prevent David KNIGHT (GB – TM) and Gonçalo REIS (P – Gas Gas) from finishing the job!

EnduroGP: Acerbis Italy GP – Day 2
Alex SALVINI – Stronger Than Pain!
After the incredibly violent storms on Day 1, it was a total turn around for Sunday, with hot weather and sunshine the order of the day. However, the race conditions on this second day of the Acerbis Grand Prix of Italy were still very tricky, with waterlogged tests still very slippery and rutted. Physically and emotionally drained after Saturday’s action, the riders still gave us an absolutely unforgettable race day.
