Robin Holtmeulen en Thierry Pittens klaar voor de Wess competitie

Wess staat voor World Enduro Super Series, het zijn wedstrijden onder extreme omstandigheden, door heel Europa.
Op 22 en 23 april hebben deze 2 heren al een wedstrijd meegereden in Tsjechië de Drapak Rodeo, dit was bedoeld als voorbereiding voor de 1e wedstrijd voor de Wess competitie. Ze wisten daar allebei al een goed resultaat neer te zetten, van de 450 rijders, werd Thierry 15e en Robin 27e, dus neem maar van mij aan dat ze al een aardig stukje Extreem kunnen rijden.
Zaterdag 5 mei zijn Robin en Thierry samen met Anthony Donders als ondersteuner, afgereisd naar Porto in Portugal een reis van 2200 km. In de dagen voorafgaand aan de wedstrijd hebben ze nog in de omgeving getraind met enkele lokale helden.

Go time for WESS: World Enduro Super Series starts in Portugal

Wels, Austria – May 8, 2018 — It’s all systems go as the inaugural World Enduro Super Series clicks into gear for round one at Extreme XL Lagares in Portugal, May 11-13, as the search for the ULTIMATE ENDURO CHAMPION begins.
With the wait finally over, history will be made in northern Portugal when the first ever round of the mixed-discipline WESS championship gets underway. Extreme XL Lagares — now in its 14th edition — has the honour of hosting the opening event of the series.

In total 252 competitors from 20 nations, including the world’s best Enduro riders, will take to the start line in the Penafiel region of Portugal for three days of exciting, and challenging, Enduro racing.

Brad FREEMAN (GB - Beta Boano)JET Racing rider Alex SALVINI got his weekend off to a great start on Friday evening at the Polisport Grand Prix of Portugal’s Akrapovic Super Test and ended it on a high this afternoon in Castelo Branco on this very same Super Test course, giving us a dramatic finale full of emotions. Indeed it was the first time that the Super Test (a short and technical special where the riders run head-to-head) was organised as the final special test of a Grand Prix… and the idea paid off on all levels with a big crowd who came to enjoy the fight in the city center – a grand finale of a day disputed in the heat and dust of Portugal’s tests.

Alex SALVINI (I - Husqvarna)The stars of EnduroGP have experienced everything during the first three Grand Prix of the season… from the snow and cold during the mythical Päijänne Enduro (Finland), then the torrenting rain, cold, and mud last week in Santiago de Compostela (Spain), before they suffered in the heat (27 degrees) and dust during the first day of the Polisport Grand Prix of Portugal in Castelo Branco.

RIK VIERHUIZEN WINT E1 KLASSE IN HET BELGISCH KAMPIOENSCHAP ENDURO IN DOUZY

rik-couzyRik Vierhuizen van het WPM KTM Team heeft in het Franse Douzy de wedstrijd meetellend voor het Belgisch Kampioenschap Enduro de E1 klasse op zijn naam geschreven.
In Douzy, gelegen in de regio Grand Est, waren twee proeven uitgezet. Een geweldige training voor Rik aangezien dit vaak zijn zwakke punt is tijdens de Europese wedstrijden. De nacht voor de wedstrijd had het flink geregend
