Ook de Amsterdammers van Team de Doelen ontkwamen niet aan het verplichte video interview. Dirk Schuttel en zijn kornuiten hebben nog volop praatjes. Ik heb zo’n gevoel dat ze na 4 dagen afzien wel wat rustiger zullen zijn 😅, maar we gaan het zien.
Team Tuinstra neemt hun vanmiddag op sleeptouw voor een mooie training rondom de route van dag1 nabij Tocile en Rasinari.

WATSON & MCCANNEY WIN ON DAY ONE OF GP OF PORTUGAL
Day one of the Maxxis FIM EnduroGP of Portugal saw Nathan Watson (KTM) deliver one of the championship’s most dominant winning performances as the Brit secured the top step of the EnduroGP class podium by finishing one-minute and 23 seconds ahead of second placed Matthew Phillips. A day dominated by extreme dust on the motocross and enduro tests, and featuring numerous technical trails, in the Enduro 2 class Jamie McCanney (Yamaha) was the rider to beat as he topped all but one of the day’s special tests to place 23 seconds ahead of championship rival Josep Garcia (KTM).

Mirjam Pol aan de start van de 40ste editie Dakar Rally
Ze heeft nooit afscheid genomen van de zwaarste rally ter wereld, ze heeft enkel een rustpauze ingelast om, met de best mogelijke voorbereiding, weer aan de start van de Dakar Rally te verschijnen. In mei 2017 heeft Mirjam Pol zich weer ingeschreven voor deelname aan de Dakar Rally 2018. Negen jaar na haar overwinning in het damesklassement van de zwaarste rally ter wereld voelt Mirjam zich meer dan ooit ‘klaar’ om de strijd met de elementen en zichzelf aan te gaan.

Matt Phillips stopt met WK enduro in 2018

Here we go! The Grand Prix Polisport of Portugal, which looks set to be one of the most important and exciting GPs of the season. For the sixth round of the Maxxis FIM EnduroGP World Championship, and only three weeks after the tough Hungary / Greece tour, the stars of the EnduroGP series arrive in Castelo Branco, Portugal, 260km North-East from Lisbon and close to the Spanish border.
