Vooruitblik op RBR2017 met Gold Pro Class rijder Rienk Tuinstra.
Rienk, je doet hier nu al voor de 7e keer mee. Wat kunnen we dit jaar verwachten qua proloog en wedstrijddagen?
Rienk: “De proloog ziet er echt moeilijker uit. Hindernissen zoals de nieuwe freestyle schans en zo zijn best tricky en heel gevaarlijk. Zo bedenken ze elk jaar weer wat”.

We hebben de proloog gelopen samen met Rienk Tuinstra en Danny Dietvorst.
De conclusie is dat de rijders hun borst maar nat kunnen maken want het is een stuk moeilijker, technischer maar ook stuk gevaarlijker dan vorig jaar…!

Vandaag ging een flinke groep NLers met Rienk en Wopke trainen rondom het parcours van dag1. Aangevuld met een paar New Zealanders gingen we vanochtend met 18 man op pad om een trainingsroute op Bronze/Silver nivo af te werken. Ook was er nog een aparte gids geregeld om een groep Iron rijders ter wille te zijn die het iets kalmer aan wilden doen.
HOLCOMBE WINS AGAIN TO EXTEND ENDURO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP LEAD
Steve Holcombe has claimed another double podium result, this time at the EnduroGP of Portugal – round six of the FIM EnduroGP World Championship. In one of the toughest events of the season so far, Steve rode fast and consistently to finish third on day one before upping his game to claim the win on day two. With only two rounds of the 2017 series remaining Steve leads the premier EnduroGP class by a healthy 37 points.
On the first day, Steve rode like the champion he is.

WATSON & GARCIA ON THE PODIUM IN PORTUGAL
Completely at home in the fast, dry and dusty Portuguese conditions Nathan dominated the first day of competition, winning seven of the nine special tests. Cautious around the technical, slow-speed extreme test, on the faster motocross and enduro tests he was untouchable.
Frustratingly for Watson his hopes of a double EnduroGP class win were ended when he damaged his gear shift lever in the extreme test on lap two of day two. Forced to replace the shifter inside the special test and with the clock ticking, Nathan lost more than four minutes. Despite bouncing back to win the very next enduro test he was not able to finish higher than 10th.
