FIM Europe: the official calendar European Enduro-Championship 2017

Last weekend the FIM Europe Management Council has confirmed the new dates of the European Enduro Championship 2017:
– the three-day-final in Slovakia switched and will be held from 13^th to 15^th of October in Slovakia.

All the competitions will come from Portugal in the April over Estonia in July and Germany in August to the three-day-final in Slovakia in October.
Although many more nations asked for a competition, the championship will stay with four rounds, to make it possible for most of the riders.

2017:
8^th /9^th of April Gouveia / Portugal
8^th/ 9^th of July Paikuse / Estonia
5^th/6^th of August Burg / Germany
13^th to 15^th of October Gelnica / Slovakia

This year still the final has to take place in Harfsen at Friday and Saturday, the 28^th and 29^th of October. None titel in any class is decided yet – all decisions have to fall on this weekend.

EnduroGP: A Grand Finale!

Just days after the paddock saw the double crowning of Matthew PHILLIPS (AUS – Sherco) in EnduroGP and E2, we look back on an emotional AMV Grand Prix of France..

Paying Tribute
Moments after the closing ceremony of the 2016 Maxxis FIM EnduroGP World Championship, some of the top stars of the sport (Matthew PHILLIPS, Laia SANZ, Johnny AUBERT and Mathias BELLINO) went to visit all the volunteers from the Cahors Trials Club… just as the dedicated crew were about to celebrate the end of the Grand Prix over a meal, the stars of the EnduroGP rewarded them with a surprise meeting – and each rider gave a speech heaping praise on the club for their work throughout the week!

EnduroGP: Mika Ahola « Brave One » Trophy

REMES, A Worthy Successor!
The Enduro Test at the Grand Prix AMV of France was shorter than most during the season, but that did not stop the winner from putting in a dominant performance. Located in the small village of St Pierre la Feuille in the hills above Cahors, this last Enduro Test of the season was very popular, with huge numbers of spectators. And for the first time in the history of the Mika Ahola “Brave One” Trophy it is a Finn who walks away with the belt – Eero REMES (TM)!

Grand Prix AMV of France – Day 2: MATT PHILLIPS CROWNED ENDUROGP WORLD CHAMPION

VIDEO day 2 The 2016 EnduroGP championship drew to a close in spectacular style today in Cahors where Tasmanian Matt Phillips (Sherco) put the finishing touches to his incredible season and secured both the EnduroGP (overall) and Enduro 2 World Championship titles at the AMV GP of France.
Just as on day one riders faced blisteringly hot temperatures and extremely dry and dusty conditions as the 2016 EnduroGP series signed off in style. Joining Phillips as world champions were Finn Eero Remes (TM) who kept his cool to claim a second consecutive Enduro 1 World Championship while Laia Sanz (KTM) claimed the Woman’s title.

STEVE HOLCOMBE SECURES ENDURO 3 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

VIDEO day1 Britain’s Steve HOLCOMBE (Beta) has claimed the 2016 Enduro 3 World Championship title following his E3 class win on day one of the AMV GP of France, held in Cahors.
Starting the event with one hand on the title Steve claimed his 11th day win of the series to wrap-up his first ever enduro world championship title in style. “Winning this title is amazing, the perfect end to what has been an incredible year for me,” commented a delighted HOLCOMBE at the end of the day. “It’s been an anxious time running up to this event. I felt good today but not exactly at the level I’ve been riding all year. It was close with Manuel MONNI (TM) today and Johnny AUBERT (Beta) had a great ride considering his injured shoulder. They kept me on my toes but I did enough to become world champion, which feels amazing.”
